Position: Director of Clubs and Organizations
Major: Sports Management
Minor: Communications, Promotions
Have you’ve met our Director of Clubs and Orgs? Amanda Hardt our enthusiastic Director oversees all 142 clubs on Gonzaga’s campus. Within this job Amanda oversees the process of starting a new club and becomes a focal point for all the ambitious Zags who seek to bring their club passion to campus. As the Director of Clubs and Orgs Amanda also determines whether or not every club fulfills the necessary requirements and responsibilities of being a GU club. There are five pillars of good club standing and these include: completing an annual service project, attending the leadership summit put on each semester, adhering to rules found in the Student Handbook and Club Policy Manual, having their club Presidents attend monthly President meetings, and re-registering as a club once per every academic year while also maintaining an active roster.
What Amanda likes most about GSBA is how as an organization it has the opportunity to grow and expand to reach all levels on campus, let it be with events, or giving other groups on campus the opportunity to grow.
Outside of GSBA Amanda is on the club tennis team, a student leader/mentor for the Connections program through CCASL, and also has a job in athletics as an event management assistant.
A couple fun facts about her is that she can write her name with her feet, can identify all 50 states on a map within 4 minutes, has seen EVERY Tom Hanks movie, and also has ALL 63 Elvis record albums.
What Amanda likes most about Gonzaga is how there are many different opportunities in student involvement from academics, to intramurals, to leadership positions she thinks you can always find your niche at Gonzaga. The unlimited opportunities to shape yourself and get involved help identify what it means to be a Zag. Go ZAGS!
