At all times, especially when accidental conflict exists between GSBA policy and University policy, Gonzaga Student Body Association will always respect the rules and expectations of Gonzaga University. The following information is policy specific to GSBA, and may or may not reflect the views of Gonzaga University. The information below applies only to your use of GOGSBA.COM, GOGSBA.ORG, the GSBA Wall Management System, Mantis and any affiliated websites that bear the GSBA Official Logo. Your use of gonzaga.edu or any other sites affiliated with Gonzaga University may be bound by a different set of terms and conditions.

Sites may include unmoderated forums containing the personal opinions and other expressions of the persons who post entries on a wide range of topics. Neither the content of these Sites, nor the links to other web sites, are screened, approved, reviewed or endorsed by Gonzaga University, the Gonzaga Student Body Association or any Gonzaga-affiliated entity (“Gonzaga”). Gonzaga is not a publisher of any of the content of the Sites, or of any content that may be available through links to and from them, and is acting solely as an internet service provider. 47 U.S.C. § 230(c)(1).
The text and other material on these Sites are the opinion of the specific author and are not statements of advice, opinion, or information of Gonzaga. If you feel you might be offended by the content of the Sites, you should not continue.
Rules for Online Conduct
You agree to use the Sites in accordance with all applicable laws. Because Gonzaga is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization, you agree that you will not use the Site for organized partisan political activities. You further agree that you will not e-mail or post any of the following content anywhere on the Site, or on any other Gonzaga computing resources:
• Content that defames or threatens others
• Statements that are bigoted, hateful or racially offensive
• Content that discusses illegal activities with the intent to commit them
• Content that infringes another’s intellectual property, including, but not limited to, copyrights, trademarks or trade secrets
• Material that contains vulgar or obscene language or images
• Advertising or any form of commercial solicitation without written approval of the University
Copyrighted material, including without limitation software, graphics, text, photographs, sound, video and musical recordings, may not be placed on the Site without the express permission of the owner of the copyright in the material, or other legal entitlement to use the material.
Although Gonzaga does not routinely screen or monitor content posted by users to the Site, Gonzaga reserves the right to remove content which violates the above rules of which it becomes aware, but is under no obligation to do so.
Finally, you agree that you will not access or attempt to access any other user’s account, or misrepresent or attempt to misrepresent your identity while using the Sites.
Information We Collect by Automated Means
When you visit our Sites, we occasionally collect information by automated means, using technologies such as cookies and Web beacons.
Cookies are snippets of code that we send to your computer or other Internet-connected device to uniquely identify your browser or to store information or settings in your browser. This is a common practice across the web. Your browser may notify you or manipulate the way you interact with cookies. Please note, however, that without cookies you may not be able to use all of the features of our Sites.
We may log information such as your device and operating system type, browser type, domain, device ID, and other system settings, as well as the language your system uses and the country and time zone where your device is located. Permission to Use Materials
In consideration for your agreement to the terms and conditions contained here, Gonzaga grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Sites. User may not download material from the content sections of Sites under any conditions (such as copy and paste of page content). User may download material from the sections of Sites only for User’s own personal, non-commercial use when the item is intended as a download, such as a form to complete on paper or a document for archive. User may not otherwise copy, reproduce, retransmit, distribute, publish, commercially exploit or otherwise transfer any material. The burden of determining that use of any information, software or any other content on the Site is permissible rests with User.
Limitation of Use
You may use Sites for legal purposes only. Furthermore, you agree that, if a third party claims that any material you have contributed to a Site is unlawful, you will bear the burden of establishing that the material complies with all applicable laws. Although Gonzaga does not monitor the content of the Sites, Gonzaga has the right to remove material from the Sites, block access, or take other action with respect to the Material in its sole discretion, although Gonzaga is under no obligation to do so. You may not use Gonzaga computing resources or Sites to disseminate unsolicited advertising or promotional material of any kind.
Links to Other Sites
Gonzaga’s Site may include hyperlinks to websites maintained or controlled by others. Gonzaga is not responsible for and does not routinely screen, approve, review or endorse the contents of or use of any of the products or services that may be offered at these websites.
Choice of Law/Forum Selection
Sites are hosted by Gonzaga on computing resources located on the Gonzaga campus. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or any content posted to a Site, including copies and republication thereof, whether based in contract, tort, statutory or other law, will be governed by the laws of the State of Washington, excluding its conflicts of law provisions. You further consent to the personal jurisdiction of and exclusive venue in the federal and state courts located in and serving Spokane County, Washington as the legal forum for any such dispute. For GSBA Sites, additional services and features may be hosted by vendors under their respective Privacy and Use policies, and those vendors may or may not host their information on Gonzaga servers or in Spokane County. This does not change the jurisdiction for any legal dispute.

The GSBA Paw seal logo requires additional permission from an authorized staff member of the GSBA executive staff or cabinet, in addition to any permission received by an authorized representative of Gonzaga University.

GOGSBA.org is based in Florida; mainly for data processing. Messages or mailings from GSBA may contain information from either the Washington or Florida data center, meaning that some times and dates may be based in Eastern Time (GMT -05:00). Normally, the time zone will be indicated when important.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Gonzaga and its affiliates with respect to the subject matter herein and supersedes any and all prior or contemporaneous oral or written agreements.

Portal is a service provided to the Gonzaga community by GSBA. It is not intended to imply endorsement or support of linked products or services. GSBA is not responsible for the content of third party sites. Not all services will be available at all times, and GSBA cannot guarantee the safety and security of pages outside of their control. GSBA will never seek or require a network or zagweb password directly through GOGSBA.org, and encourages users to be careful when deciding whether or not to enter their personal information on third party services.
The events section, including event landing pages, the event aggregator and any calendar or list features, are provided as information about activities and opportunities around the Gonzaga campus and surrounding community. While many of the events are run or sponsored by GSBA, some are simply advertised for convenience. Unless otherwise noted on the events specific details page, GSBA is not responsible for the content of events or speaker series’, and the views presented or discussed may or may not reflect those of GSBA or Gonzaga University. Ticket information is not guaranteed until you land on the purchase path page specific to the event, any advertised prices and features are simply best estimates available to GSBA Staff at the time the event was posted, and is not a guarantee from GSBA to the end user that the items mentioned will be correct or available. GSBA does not guarantee that ticket vendor sites will be available at all times, and often they have a requirement that tickets be purchased several days in advance or picked up prior to the event. Carefully read the terms and conditions of ticket vendors and ticket or service sites.
Contact Us Policy
The contact us feature is provided as a way to communicate with members of the GSBA staff without the need for an email client, thus allowing you to submit “anonymous” feedback or comments. Because the feature uses insecure communication methods (ie, email), there is no guarantee of private communication between you and your designated recipient. It is possible that other GSBA staff will be able to view your message for purposes of quality control or validating that the product is behaving as expected. We will try to respect privacy whenever possible. Further, it is possible that email communications may not reach the recipient for various reasons, such as email client filters, and GSBA is not responsible if your message is not able to reach its designated recipient.
